As someone who refuses to admit there is a movie of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy out of loyalty to the 1970s BBC miniseries, I very much advocate adding that to t.v.

I forget- have you seen Community?

Also I'd recommend following Utena up with Mawaru Penguindrum, for even more Ikuhara-ness.

Oh! for anime there is also Haibane-Renmei and Mushishi, if you haven't seen those.

And my automatic movie pimps are Casablanca, The Third Man, Blade Runner, and Up in the Air. (Apologies if you've seen one/more of those.)

I've seen Community, Mawaru Penguindrum, Mushishi, and Casablanca. Loved them all~!

I'll definitely add the rest to my list though. I admit, a lot of my reason for wanting to see Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is the cast. So many of my favorites are in it. But I'll check out the miniseries as well!

Movies: Daredevil! Preferably the Director's Cut but, by all means check out the official version.

TV: ONCE UPON A TIME and REVENGE. It gets better and better. Trust me I had my doubts at first for both series. Elementary had a strong start so let me recommend that too. Avengers: Earth's Mightest Heroes is great too. It's like reading 616 without the decades of canon to account for. Also you should watch Modern Family. It really did win those awards it received.

Anime: Catch Romeo X Juliet if you haven't already. Great series and not all that long.

I'm...iffy about OUaT. I just don't like how it's...so obviously playing on the Disney version of fairy tales. I mean I love Disney, but I was really hoping for a show that really delved into the older versions.

I've got Elementary on DVR! Just need to sit down at watch. I'll definitely add everything else to the list. :D

Honestly I didn't catch the fact they were taking directly from Disney until about five episodes in? Mind you I watched these as they aired so it came as a pleasant surprise.

But if you want something closer to the original tales then best stay away. Only the characters who didn't have Disney movies avoided all the references to their movie canon. It really takes advantage of the fact they are allowed to reference the Disney adaptions as they please.

I saw Heroes when it aired. Except for the last season. Lost interest around that time. But loved the original seasons. And I really have meant to watch more Merlin. I've seen an episode here and there.

Oh man, I really do need to watch all of Dogma. I've only seen parts but I loved it.

And love for The Producers, What's Your Number?, and Zombieland. They were all great.
